Petri Laaksonen
Petri Laaksonen's career started as a composer. He composed songs for other artists and his first ever released song was Finland's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 "Eläköön Elämä" performed by Sonja Lumme. Since then Petri has composed five other songs to Finnish National Final for the Eurovision and win it once more in 1987 with "Sata Salamaa" performed by Vicky Rosti. Petri's songs have always been in the top-three.
In 1994 he released his first soloalbum "Täällä Pohjantähden Alla" which went into the gold status and the titletrack became almost another nationalanthem for Finland. By the year 2006 Petri has released 10 soloalbums and one collectionalbum. Among them there is gospel music as well as pop and schlager albums. He has also continued written songs to other artists.
